For over 100 years, we have been creating carpets and made-to-measure rugs from our carpet factory in Crevillent, a small town in the province of Alicante, in south eastern Spain. We’re located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, a region that is acclaimed for its rich heritage in the production of textiles, where carpet weaving has its cultural home. We cherish this legacy with great pride and are committed to keeping our manufacturing operations remaining in the heart of this community. We continue to use the traditional wilton carpet making techniques that have been passed down through generations of local artisans, whose skills continue to be woven into the products we make today. If you have a project that requires a carpet manufacturer, you can contact us directly; we will be happy to assist you.
Rols comes from a long family tradition of 4 generations. Our history unrolls to 1917, when our predecessor Francisco Gómez used a manual loom to weave natural fibres such as sisal and esparto.
Today, the great-grandchildren have joined this great family: Carmen, who is in charge of the commercial part, and Fernando, who after 7 years in investment banking decided to return home in 2015 to take the part in company strategy. Rols is a family business and we know that quality craftmanship does not go out of style.
We have always opted for having our rug factory in Spain, to create jobs and continue to build on the carpet tradition of our home town, Crevillent. Most of our carpet weavers are the sons of former workers who have continued with the trade, and we are delighted that they continue here. Our values of quality and loyalty, which started with Francisco Gómez, remain intact.
For this reason, we make it very clear that our greatest resource is our people – that’s what makes us unique and makes us proud. We believe this company loyalty is shown in the final result. It is by believing in our people that we have we placed ourselves at the forefront of the national and international market as carpet manufacturer.
In addition to betting on human value, we are committed to the environment, from the very design of our carpets and rugs, through to using ecological materials such as wool or jute. More recently, we have created a line of rugs made with recycled plastic from recovered fishing nets and PET plastic bottles, without ever losing focus on the quality that has always characterized our carpets and rugs. We believe quality goes hand in hand with treating the earth with respect. You can read more about our sustainability policy here.
