Carol Darós Interiorismo | Residence in Valencia
In a contemporary home bathed in natural light, this project is conceived as an exercise in balance between functionality, warmth, and spatial continuity. The living room, with its elongated proportions and connection to the dining area and kitchen, posed the challenge of organizing different uses without sacrificing lightness or a sense of visual openness.
The design embraces a Japandi aesthetic with Mediterranean nuances, where light wood, neutral-toned textiles, and natural fibers create a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Clean-lined furniture and material continuity reinforce a unified reading of the space, while natural light enhances the feeling of openness.
Within this context, our Palma Icon Chalk rug becomes a key element of the project. Beyond its decorative function, it acts as the compositional base of the living area, organizing the furniture and bringing cohesion to the overall space. Its soft tone and subtle texture introduce depth without disrupting the neutral palette, helping to soften the geometry of the room and balance its elongated proportions.
Additionally, its presence reinforces the warm and natural character of the interior, providing comfort underfoot and consolidating the sense of domestic refuge that defines the entire home.
