In this penthouse located in the Recoletos neighborhood, Mónica Diago Architecture Studio carries out a comprehensive renovation that combines the building’s classical structure with a contemporary and functional interior design proposal.
The home is organized around a coherent selection of materials and finishes: herringbone oak flooring, restored original moldings, custom-made joinery, and lighting designed to accompany the spaces without excessive prominence. The furniture and bespoke pieces designed specifically for the project reinforce the unified reading of the interior.
In the living area, our Manuela Cream rug blends seamlessly into the space as another element of the interior, adding comfort and helping to define the area while preserving the project’s neutral color palette.
The result is a balanced and understated interior, where architecture and decoration work together to respond to everyday use in a timeless way.
