Natalia Zubizarreta Interiorismo | Home in Madrid

Natalia Zubizarreta completely renovated this Madrid home to make it more spacious, add more storage and, above all, make it warmer. The whole project revolves around just a few materials and a palette of soft colors that repeats from one room to the next: oak flooring, custom wood furniture made in the studio, walls with light paneling and lamps with rounded shapes. The result is a bright, calm home where the living and dining areas share a single open space that opens onto the terrace.

For that daytime area, the interior designer chose our Maya Craft Coconut. Its light tone plays off the oak and the project’s neutral palette, and its texture gives the floor character while tying the two areas together within the same space. It has the look of sisal but is far more durable and easy to care for, ideal for the most-used rooms of the home.

In the primary bedroom, the choice was our Terra Sahara Oat, in an oatmeal tone that complements the bed linens and the room’s calm feel. Its weave brings that handcrafted, natural-fiber look and adds warmth from the floor up, in keeping with the rest of the home.
