In this apartment in Taipei, Taiwan, designed by Studio Arvia, the living room is conceived through a balanced composition of materials, proportions, and neutral tones. The combination of stone, dark wood, and upholstered pieces in light shades creates a restrained and cohesive base, where each element contributes to the sense of order and continuity within the space.
Within this composition, our Terra Gorafe Oat Nut rug plays a fundamental role in defining the living area. Its presence delineates the social zone and establishes a continuous visual foundation upon which the sofa, armchairs, and coffee table are arranged. The texture of the rug introduces a material layer that balances the hardness of the vertical finishes and the solidity of the dark wood furniture pieces.
The filtered light entering through the curtains enhances the richness of its surface, revealing subtle tonal variations and a gentle relief that reinforces the tactile dimension of the project.
