Seeking the 'Zero-Kilometer' Approach

 

Whenever feasible, we strive to promote the ‘zero-kilometer’ approach with our suppliers as well. We collaborate with a range of local specialists in processes such as dyeing, winding, or wool sourcing. In this way, over 50% of our sourcing comes from suppliers located within a 50 km radius, allowing us to maintain reduced levels of carbon footprint associated with transportation.

Suppliers with whom we have a business relationship must commit to meeting stringent and responsible requirements regarding working conditions and environmental standards.

 

Whenever possible, we choose the most sustainable route for each material. The majority of the wool we use is sourced domestically, and we collaborate with leading providers of recycled fibers, offering complete transparency and traceability in our supply chain.

Suppliers who wish to work with Rols must adhere to the requirements outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct (CoC), which formalizes the minimum ethical, social, and environmental standards that every supplier must accept and comply with to collaborate with Rols Carpets.

 

This is an area where we are making progress and have improved our data reporting system and expanded sustainability requirements.
